Christmas and my 44th

I got lovely presents for Christmas – salted caramels with edible glitter, two books (Gervase Phinn’s The Other Side Of The Dale and the Alan Partridge book I, Partridge) and £30. I had a trio-of-mushrooms parcel for Xmas dinner, with the inevitable bread sauce. The best things I watched on TV over Christmas were A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong – so funny – and two films I hadn’t seen before: Big Hero 6 and Toy Story 3.

For my birthday I got more lovely presents: Alan Bennett’s A Life Like Other People’s, some mint Matchmakers, a bar of salted butterscotch chocolate and £30.

I still have another trio-of-mushrooms parcel which I’m going to have for dinner today.

Happy 2018 x
